Magnificent hand-carved wooden decorative chest. This ornamental small chest features a beautiful relief of a mountain landscape, including architecture and natural elements, all hand-carved.

The chest is made of solid wood and has a warm, natural patina that nicely reflects its age and use. Both the front, back and sides are richly decorated with traditional wood carving.

This type of object is estimated to date from the mid-20th century (circa 1930–1970).
