Description from the seller
Prismatic magnetic compass for surveyors, produced by Troughton & Simms of London, mid-1800s, brass. With its original leather case.
Circular body with a cap that opens, and inside is the compass. It is unlocked with a lever and the green plate starts to spin.
It is in good condition. It shows slight signs of wear. Working, but I’m not sure if it marks direction accurately.
Total dimensions of the case: approximately 12 x 10 x 4 cm
Shipping by courier with careful packing.
