Description
A solid, high-quality Sony CDP-991 CD player, manufactured in Japan in the early 1990s, a period when Sony was known for sturdy, musically rich hi-fi components.
This model belongs to the better mid-range from that era and is renowned for its warm, detailed sound reproduction and solid build quality. The player offers both fixed and variable analog outputs, as well as an optical digital output, making it versatile for various hi-fi setups.
Operation is straightforward and typical of Sony: functional and durably built. Thanks to the robust construction and weight, the unit feels very solid.
The device is in good used condition with normal signs of wear appropriate for its age. There are a few scratches on the housing, which are clearly photographed. On the front, however, they are not visible, giving the unit a neat and representative frontal appearance.
