Impressive two-tone 'Cage' table lamp - Belgo Chrom style - 77cm - Brass & Chrome
Description: An absolute standout piece from the 1970s/1980s. This very heavy (3.8 kg) and stately table lamp embodies the Hollywood Regency luxury of the iconic Belgian house Belgo Chrom and the French Maison Jansen.
Design & Materials: The 'Cage' or cage-model is a masterful blend of geometric forms. The base is a bi-color interplay of gold-colored brass and mirrored chrome. The lamp features a double socket with the original Italian VLM pull-chain switches, allowing the light sources to be operated independently.
Shade condition: The lamp is supplied with the pictured brown shade. This shade is very special due to the gold-colored interior, which creates a spectacular warm light (see photos). Note: The shade is functional and looks beautiful from a distance, but it is in used vintage condition and bears the marks of time (there is damage at the back top). For the demanding collector, reupholstery or replacement may be desirable in time, but the shade is included to complete the silhouette and atmosphere immediately.
