Description from the seller
GENERAL:
Discover an icon of Italian design: this Alfa Romeo Spider special series Quadrifoglio Verde. Registered in August 1987, it shows a certified low mileage of 76,300 km. Produced in only 2,692 units between 1986 and 1989, this rare version is powered by the legendary 2000 cm³ 'Bialbero' engine delivering 128 HP. A clear and complete history (known owners, Histovec documents) will be transmitted to the buyer, guaranteeing the traceability of this future collector.
BODYWORK & PAINT:
The aesthetics of this Spider are impeccable. Following a hailstorm, the vehicle underwent a meticulous manual dent removal in June 2021 followed by a full repaint in its original Metallic Grey. The bodywork is strictly original, free of corrosion, and the chromes shine. It sits on tires in excellent condition (less than 5,000 km). The soft top, replaced in 2017, provides protection and a perfect line.
MECHANICS:
On the mechanical side, this Bialbero sings perfectly. The vehicle benefited from a major upgrade in 2021 affecting the braking system, engine cooling, and carburation. Maintenance is tracked rigorously with invoices to back it up. The five-speed manual transmission and clutch operate smoothly. A sign of optimal mechanical health: the car starts at the first turn without a starter, except in very cold conditions.
INTERIOR:
The cabin is a true time capsule kept in its original state. This special series is distinguished by its gray lead-gray enveloping seats with red stitching and the bright red carpet, in very good condition. Equipment includes power windows and, the ultimate touch of authenticity, the original radio has been restored and reinstalled. It is an interior that perfectly combines Grand Tourisme comfort with Alfa Romeo’s sporty temperament.
DOCUMENTATION:
The future owner will receive an exceptional history file, a guarantee of serenity and value:
* FFVE collection file.
* Complete history of invoices and technical inspections.
* Photocopies of previous registration documents.
* Period advertising brochures to perfect the collection.
DELIVERY/TAKEOVER:
The vehicle is ready to hit the road. The sale includes handover of the entire documentary file at the time of vehicle transfer.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This Quadrifoglio Verde Spider is not just a classic sports car; it’s a pleasure investment. Its rare metallic gray configuration, its low mileage, and its preserved condition make it one of the most desirable pieces currently on the Italian Youngtimers market.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
