Description from the seller
Title
Serge Donadio (born 1947) – Still life with peaches, glass and books – Oil on canvas
⸻
Description
Elegant oil-on-canvas still life by Serge Donadio (born 1947), depicting a refined composition with peaches, grapes, bottle, glass and books, arranged on a marble tabletop.
The work stands out for an extremely careful and realistic execution, with particular attention to light effects and transparency, visible in the rendering of the glass and the reflections of the liquid. The composition is enriched by a red drapery that frames the scene and helps create depth and theatricality.
The basket of peaches, central element, is rendered with great precision in detail and color nuances, while the secondary elements – grapes, books and bottle – complete the compositional balance with a nod to the tradition of classical still life.
