Description from the seller

Patrycja Mroczkowska – "Toxic Beauty"
About the work
We present a unique sculptural work by Patrycja Mroczkowska, combining the rawness of form with the dynamic aesthetics of pop art. The piece, titled “Toxic Beauty,” measures 31 x 19 x 15 cm. It is made of plaster mass and reinforced with resin, which ensures its durability, and is then carefully installed at the intersection of sculpture and modern painting. The whole piece is protected with a professional varnish, giving the surface a noble finish.

Metaphor and Message
The title piece, “Toxic Beauty,” serves as an artistic warning and a deep metaphor for human expectations. The work nods to the fairy-tale motif of seeking the ideal – the “enchanted frog” that is supposed to reveal the dreamed prince or princess. The artist depicts a moment of painful disappointment: the fascinating, colorful figure turns out to be toxic in reality. It is a study of illusion, where aesthetic beauty is often only a mask for a nature that can wound us.

Workshop and Uniqueness
This work is 100% handmade—from the process of forming the mass to the final painting details.

Hand-painted (100%): The piece has been coated with high-quality acrylic paints and precise Molotow markers.

Guarantee of uniqueness: Although the artist occasionally returns to similar forms, the painted layer never repeats. Each specimen is an absolutely unique original, impossible to reproduce.

Visible in the photo DSC_0650.jpg, the precision of workmanship and the intensity of detail emphasize the collectible value of this object.

“Toxic Beauty” is an ideal offering for contemporary art collectors who value works with a strong emotional charge and uncompromising, handmade craftsmanship.

Work protected with varnish
My works are mainly characterized by color expressiveness and great dynamism. I take the viewer into a world of fairy tales, comics, and magical Pop Art. They are not children’s fairy tales, though. The compositions are metaphors of childhood seen through the eyes of an adult. The works are mostly open and endless, they are only a cutout (framed) from the space of imagination. At first glance the works are legible, yet nothing could be further from the truth; each work, upon deeper looking, contains a second layer and depicts emotions, feelings, love, anger, and above all the strength and charisma of women. Each element is an allegory and symbolizes very strong emotions. Each piece is really a book that is fairly easy to interpret if we look at it with the eyes of imagination. In my practice I rely mainly on manual work and traditional painting. Each time I strive to create rather than mass-produce my works, hence their small quantity and accessibility.
