Fascinating twin-lens reflex (TLR) camera, the Lomo Lubitel 2, produced in the USSR by LOMO (Leningradskoye Optiko-Mekhanicheskoye Obyedinenie). This model, an icon of Soviet analog photography, uses 120 medium format film producing 6x6 negatives.
The exemplar is in excellent cosmetic condition, complete with its original brown leather case and the original lens cap.
The Lubitel 2 is famous for its Triplet T-22 75mm f/4.5 lens, capable of giving images that vintage character and that light vignetting highly sought after by lomography enthusiasts.
Year of construction presumed: Approximately 1960–1970.
Mechanical condition: The mechanism has been finely tested and is fully functional in every part (shutter, film advance, diaphragms, and focusing).
Technical note: The camera has not been tested for film exposure performance.
Extra details: Clear lenses, waist-level finder that opens smoothly, and the case is intact with the original shoulder strap. An excellent piece both for use and for display in a collection.
