An icon of French modernist design, the Sandows chair, conceived by René Herbst in 1928, represents one of the first examples of using “cheap” industrial materials for high-end furniture.

The Sandows chair perfectly embodies the spirit of the 1920s, with its tubular steel frame, an innovative material for the era, and the original elastic cord suspension system, which offers surprising comfort.
