Description from the seller
Antique Edwardian folding cake stand. Beautiful and authentic three-piece folding cake stand (also called muffin stand or curates stand) from England, circa 1910. This elegant piece of furniture is a classic example of Edwardian craftsmanship and was originally used to serve treats during the traditional afternoon tea. Made from high-quality mahogany with a warm deep patina. The three round trays feature a refined inlaid sunburst motif of contrasting light wood (probably satinwood). A stylish and functional object that today serves excellently as a decorative plant stand or étagère in any interior. Construction: equipped with graceful turned supports and a clever accordion mechanism allowing the stand to fold completely flat. The item is in very good condition with only minor signs of use, see photo. If desired, you can pick up the item in Dirkshorn (municipality of Schagen).
