Emil Wuensche reiscamera for 6.5×9 cm film sheets, dating to ca. 1900–1910, in very good physical condition and tested as working.
Description from the seller
Offered: an EXTREMELY rare and authentic camera, manufactured by the German camera maker Emil Wuensche around circa 1900. Pieces by this maker appear only sporadically on the market and are highly sought after by serious collectors of early photography.
This camera is a beautiful example of craftsmanship from the pioneer era of photography, with attention to detail and high-quality materials that are characteristic of that period. The object has strong historical and aesthetic value and makes a striking centerpiece in any collection.
Features:
• Manufacturer: Emil Wuensche A.G., Dresden
• Handmade construction and authentic parts
• Original specimen from circa 1900, equipped with an original Wuensche sticker (as seen in photo 1) on the inside of the camera
• Format: 6.5 × 9 cm film plates
• Shutter: produced by Wuensche himself and therefore unique
• Shutter speeds: indicated as I and II corresponding to B and 1/50
• Viewfinder: provides a clear image
• Bellows: in perfect condition and light-tight
• Complete and authentic
Condition:
In very neat, original condition with normal signs of use commensurate with age. Closing the camera requires slight attention and does not operate smoothly. Not tested for functionality, sold as a collectible object or decorative piece.
Notes:
Emil Wuensche cameras are rarely offered and represent an important piece of photographic history. This specimen, which can also be regarded as a "museum piece," is thus not only a collectible, decorative piece but also an investment in cultural heritage.
