Case Size: 35 mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: Yellow gold-plated with stainless steel caseback
Production Year: 1970s

Dial and Hands
The dial is a striking gold-tone expanse featuring a refined vertical brushed texture that catches the light beautifully. Applied gold-tone faceted indices with black central inserts provide excellent contrast and legibility. The applied Omega logo sits proudly below the 12 o'clock position, accompanied by crisp, perfectly preserved black sans-serif typography reading "OMEGA AUTOMATIC" and "Genève." A date aperture at 3 o'clock is framed by an elegant applied gold-tone window. The dial remains in exceptionally clean condition, showing only the faintest signs of age-appropriate patina under close macro inspection, free from any significant spotting, staining, or damage. The matching baton hands feature dark central inserts, complementing the indices perfectly, and remain crisp and well-preserved.
Case and Crystal
The 35mm yellow gold-plated case presents a classic, elegant profile with straight, well-defined lugs and a smooth, polished bezel. The case exhibits honest signs of light wear, including faint surface scratches consistent with careful use, but retains its structural integrity and sharp lines without heavy polishing. The original Omega-signed crown is present, displaying some expected brassing and wear along its fluted edges. The screw-down stainless steel caseback features a clean brushed finish with its factory notches intact and remains in excellent condition. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, offering a clear and bright view with minimal surface wear.
Movement
Powered by an Omega automatic caliber, the movement represents the robust and reliable engineering of the brand's mid-century output. While the movement itself is securely housed behind the solid caseback, it demonstrates outstanding health. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece, the timegrapher records a highly precise deviation of +9 to +11 seconds per day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a period-correct black leather strap featuring an embossed crocodile pattern and matching black stitching. It is secured by a gold-tone pin buckle that complements the case material perfectly. The strap shows light signs of handling but remains supple and ready for comfortable daily wear.
Condition
This Omega Automatic Genève is in excellent vintage condition. The dial is outstandingly preserved, standing out as a prime highlight of the watch with its pristine brushed finish. The case shows honest, light wear typical of its age, with some expected brassing on the signed crown, but overall presents beautifully on the wrist.
Dimensions
The case measures 35 mm in diameter, excluding the crown, offering a classic and highly wearable vintage proportion.
Remarks
This Genève is a superb representation of Omega's dedication to accessible luxury during the 1970s. Its combination of a vertically brushed gold dial and reliable automatic movement makes it a versatile addition to any collection, equally suited for formal occasions or daily enjoyment.
History
Introduced in the mid-20th century, the Genève line was originally created to honor Omega's highest-tier watches produced at their Geneva workshops. By the late 1960s and 1970s, the Genève collection had evolved into the brand's most diverse and popular range, offering reliable, stylish, and high-quality timepieces to a broader audience while maintaining Omega's stringent standards for precision and durability.
