Dial and Hands  
The dial of this Lord Matic is a visual triumph, featuring a rich gradient green finish that transitions from a vivid emerald center to deep, almost black edges. The surface is remarkably well-preserved, showing no signs of moisture damage, spotting, or discoloration. Applied gold-tone faceted baton indices mark the hours, catching the light beautifully alongside the applied Seiko and LM logos. The day and date are displayed at the three o'clock position, framed by a crisp gold-tone window, offering both English and Kanji day options. The gold-tone baton hands feature a distinctive black central stripe, remaining sharp and free from oxidation, perfectly complementing the bold aesthetic of the dial.

Case and Crystal  
The stainless steel case boasts a distinctive square profile with blocky, architectural lugs that define its retro-futuristic appeal. The original factory brushing on the prominent flat bezel area remains clearly visible, contrasting handsomely with the polished case flanks. The edges and transitions between finishes are sharp and well-defined, indicating respectful wear over the decades with only honest, superficial handling marks present. Crowning the case is a spectacular faceted crystal, featuring intersecting geometric planes that distort and magnify the dial in a uniquely seventies fashion. The crystal remains clear and highly attractive, though close inspection reveals minor age-consistent wear along some of the facet edges.

Movement  
Powering this timepiece is the Seiko automatic caliber 5606, a highly regarded movement known for its reliability and smooth sweeping seconds. The solid stainless steel caseback is clearly engraved with the reference number 5606-5080 and the serial number 225146, confirming its production in February 1972. Running in vintage operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the era. The timegrapher results reflect a deviation of -50 to -58 seconds per day.

Strap  
The watch is fitted with a handsome dark brown leather strap featuring an alligator grain texture and tonal stitching. The strap is supple and complements the rich green tones of the dial and the gold-tone accents perfectly, secured by a standard stainless steel pin buckle.

Condition  
This Seiko is presented in excellent vintage condition. The dial is the undeniable star, remaining incredibly clean and vibrant without any notable flaws. The architectural case retains its sharp lines and original brushed and polished finishes, exhibiting only light, expected surface wear. The faceted crystal adds immense character and remains in highly presentable condition. Overall, it is a remarkably well-preserved example of early 1970s Seiko design.

Dimensions  
The stainless steel case measures 35 mm in width, excluding the crown. The distinct square geometry provides a substantial and highly wearable presence on the wrist, sitting comfortably while offering a bold aesthetic statement.
