All automatic watches need to be wound at first use; relying on wrist movement alone is not sufficient to maintain the required power reserve.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid potential damage to the movement, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55 (Some models have a screw-down crown; for adjustments, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Remember to screw the crown back securely after setting the desired adjustments.)
