Historical background
Zeiss Ikon belonged to the absolute top of the German camera industry in the 1920s–30s. Cameras like this specimen were used by serious amateurs, travel photographers and professional photographers.
The combination of a Compur precision shutter with the relatively bright Zeiss Dominar f/4.5 lens made this a high-end and expensive camera at the time. Today, such pre-war Zeiss plate cameras are popular with collectors of historical photography, German optics and industrial design.
A beautiful and characterful collector’s object from the pioneering era of professional photography.
The camera is carefully packed and shipped with track & trace.
