Description from the seller

Refined cigarette case from the collection (also usable as an ashtray) made in solid silver with a fineness of 800. The 65-gram object is an excellent example of continental silverware dating from the Belle Époque period (late 19th – early 20th century). It stands out for the extraordinary quality of the detailing and the precious two-tone finish.
Artistic Execution:
Cover: It features rich repoussé decoration with foliate scrolls, flowers, and shell motifs. In the center rises a gilded medallion with a mythological scene finely chased, depicting deities and classical figures in motion (likely a reference to the Triumph of Galatea or scenes from classical myth).
Sides: The edges are decorated with a continuous geometric motif of flowers and crosses, engraved with utmost precision.
Interior (Vermeil): The inside is entirely lined with sumptuous original gilding (Vermeil), a technique used to protect silver from oxidation and to give the object a regal appearance when opened.
