Once connected to your stereo components (amplifier, tuner, turntable, etc.), the CT-F600 can record and play FM and AM broadcasts and other stereo-program sources on this tape deck. You can also make your own stereo recordings using an electret or dynamic microphone.
The CT-F600 is equipped with a headphone jack, which allows monitoring of the recording or tape playback with stereo headphones.
The Dolby noise reduction system helps eliminate most of that tape hiss in the high-frequency range without sacrificing the sound quality of the program source. This system widens the dynamic range and allows recording and playback from sources with a high signal-to-noise ratio.
The recorder features an unattended recording function that can be used with the timer to record unattended and wake up to the sound of a playing tape instead of the usual alarm.
