Description from the seller
In this piece of LEGO Castle history we present the majestic King Leo's Castle (set 6098) from the year 2000.
This lot is not the classic loose set, but a complete “Collector Grade” configuration, ideal for those who want to relive the thrill of the original opening or for a long-term collectible investment.
Strengths of the Lot:
- Completeness: Set verified and complete with all structural components and the rare light gray parts (Old Light Gray) typical of the era.
- Original Minifigures (8/8): Includes all 8 iconic minifigures from the Knights' Kingdom I theme: King Leo, Queen Leonora, Princess Storm (knight version), Richard the Strong, John of Mayne, the evil Cedric the Bull, Gilbert the Bad, and the skeleton (with articulated arms).
- Rare Packaging: Original box with front flap present. The yellow interior is clean, and the graphics under the flap are vivid and free from significant discoloration.
- Documentation: Includes the original instruction manual (code 6098/6091), essential for correct reconstruction of the castle and the alternative models.
Conditions:
The set has been well preserved. The prints on the minifigure torsos and on the shields of the “Leo” and “Bull” factions are clear. The box shows normal, mild signs of aging around the edges, which authenticate its originality without compromising display aesthetics.
Technical Details for the Card:
- Year of release: 2000
- Theme: Castle / Knights' Kingdom I
- Pieces: ~520
- Minifigures: 8
Note on Minifigures: All characters are intact and in excellent condition, except for one hand of a knight (Richard the Strong/John of Mayne) which shows a slight wear/tear mark at the tip (as visible in the close-up photo). The piece remains fully functional for display.
Box Status: The box shows normal, mild signs of aging around the edges, authenticating its originality without compromising display aesthetics. The graphics under the front flap are excellent.
