Very interesting specimen from Naica (Chihuahua, Mexico) formed by goethite that has completely replaced the original selenite crystals, yet clearly maintaining their elongated and lamellar shape.

The structure is composed of well-developed crystals, arranged in an articulated manner, with a decisive and three-dimensional appearance. The surface shows the typical dark tones of goethite and brown of limonite with darker areas and lighter color variations that highlight its texture.

In several spots small cavities and surface details can be observed, making the piece interesting even at close range. The sample is visually well balanced and lends itself well to display.
