Description from the seller
These two wall sconces feature a design clearly inspired by Empire style, reinterpreted in the early 20th century, when this decorative language experienced a revival in domestic and ceremonial lighting.
They are made of gold-toned metal, probably brass, with ornamentation based on volutes, curved arms and classical terminal pieces that evoke the neoclassical aesthetic associated with the Napoleonic period: symmetrical balance, elegant lines and a solemn yet decorative air.
Each fixture features two arms ending in electric candle-style holders with wax-like covers, a feature common in the early decades of the 20th century to maintain the traditional appearance while electric lighting was adopted.
They have been electrified recently, although the wiring system shows the need for a full modernization to ensure safety and optimal operation.
Nevertheless, the metal framework and the decoration remain in good condition, preserving the classic character and the decorative presence that make them so attractive in historically inspired interiors.
Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
