Description from the seller

Virgin of the Burning Bush or “Burning Bush” (in Russian: Neopalimaya Kupina / Неопалимая Купина), one of the most symbolic Marian titles in the Russian Orthodox tradition.
In the center appears the Mother of God with the Child Jesus.
The eight-pointed geometric figure formed by two rhombi or stars symbolizes:
the divine fire, the purity of Mary and the vision of Moses' burning bush that burned without being consumed.
The four angels around represent heavenly forces and the elements of creation.
The colors red and green have a theological meaning:
red = divine fire,
green = the living, incorrupt bush.
Top inscription
The inscription in ecclesiastical Slavonic reads:
“Неопалимая Купина”
which means: “The Burning Bush.”
Spiritual meaning
This icon is highly revered in the Russian tradition as:
protection against fires and misfortune,
symbol of Mary’s virginity,
representation of the Incarnation.
In many old Russian houses it was placed to seek protection of the home against fire.
