Description from the seller
SAN MARINO. 5 Lire. 1938.
- Value: 5 Lire.
- Year: 1938.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO with an allegorical female bust to the left, with gathered hair and a classical headdress. Reverse: the numeral 5 superimposed on a vertical fasces bundle, with an olive branch, surrounded by a bead-and-wreath crown and the legend LIRE 5.
- Grading: MS65 (NGC).
5 Lire coin corresponding to the 1930s series of the Republic of San Marino, with a design of pronounced classical character and symbolism clearly influenced by the Italian period. The obverse presents a left-profile female bust, serene features and firm modeling, with good detail in the hair and facial contour. The reverse shows the face value integrated in a vertical composition with fasces and a vegetation branch, with reliefs well defined and balanced. This specimen is uncirculated, with partially preserved original luster, light golden patina and minimal surface marks typical of the grade, maintaining clean fields and a very attractive visual presentation.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
