35 x etched carnelian necklace bead talismans from the ancient Indus Valley culture.

Second millennium AD or later.

In good condition. It has been cleaned in a tumbler, so its surface is shiny and smooth, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, etching, grinding and boring. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.

Purchased in 1995 / London by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
