Description
The work presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the myth of Prometheus, the titan who stole fire from the gods to give it to humanity. The male figure appears in an open and tense posture, with arms extended in an implicit cross that evokes both sacrifice and transcendence.
The body, nude and vulnerable, becomes the axis of the composition, modeled with dense and gestural brushstrokes that seem to build the skin as a living surface.
The background, abstract and turbulent, suggests a mental rather than physical space. The shapes seem to dissolve in an atmosphere of energy and conflict, reinforcing the idea of inner torment.
