Holy water font - 1930-1940

Magnificent Spanish benediction plaque made in hallmarked silver 915, richly decorated with a central scene of the Virgin and Child, accompanied by angels and cherubs in high relief. The composition presents extraordinary Baroque ornamentation with fine openwork and a high level of sculptural detail.

The piece retains its elegant original stand lined with red velvet, lending a highly decorative and devotional presence. At the top there is the representation of the Holy Spirit and celestial motifs, typical of Spanish sacred metalwork.
