Description from the seller
Pair of Hans Eichenberger for Girsberger Eurochair “Typ 1600” lounge chairs in chromed flat steel and black leather with a quilted seam, Germany 1970s.
Very comfortable to sit.
The FK Lounge embodies this exact attitude. The elegant, shell-shaped seat form combines purist design with excellent comfort. The generous padding and soft leather create a relaxed seating experience, while the ergonomically formed shell provides secure support. The iconic three-legged swiveling base, polished aluminum, achieves a delicate, almost floating appearance – a hallmark of the designers.
Today, the FK Lounge is regarded as a modern classic that gives a special touch to living rooms, reception areas, or high-end office lounges. It blends Walter Knoll’s craftsmanship with the design heritage of two notable designers – and offers design enthusiasts a piece of furniture with real history and lasting value.
Designer: Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm
Manufacturer: Walter Knoll
Country: Germany
Year: 1990s
Material: Leather, Aluminum
Width: 72 cm
Height: 102 cm
Seat height: 42 cm
Depth: 78 cm
The third- and fourth-to-last photos show the two chairs with others in brown leather, which we offer in a separate lot.
The last two photos show the chair as a low recliner, which is wider and is also offered in its own lot.
As we deal in vintage furniture, signs of wear are inevitable and part of the nature of used items. We therefore point out only more significant blemishes and damages with separate photos. We strive to capture the condition of the objects as accurately as possible, to the best of our knowledge.
The goods are subject to the margin scheme under § 25a UStG; VAT is not shown separately on the invoice.
