Description from the seller

The Majolica wall plate presented here is from Spain, from the town of Manises (Valencia).

Techniques: Majolica or Faience are world-famous.
Era: Late 18th century / early 19th century, i.e. 1790/1810

Condition: Majolica is prone to chips or glaze flaking, which are the reason for the brittleness of the tin glaze.

Absolutely undamaged (for this age, very rare).

Signature/marking: Located on the back of the plate.

Color palette: Typical for the early 18th century are vivid high-fire colors such as cobalt blue, copper green, antimony yellow and manganese purple.

Motifs: Wall plates were often used for representative purposes, floral ornaments, mythological scenes or heraldic emblems / coats of arms?
