Beolink 1000 by David Lewis from 1985 was the first step toward the intelligent audiovisual equipment that B&O continues to pursue. It was the first remote on the market that could control both sound and picture. Kept in a simple and harmonious styling, it is at once timeless and functional.
Beolink 1000 was the world's first remote control that enabled simultaneous access to hi-fi systems as well as televisions and video recorders. Programming it like a magic wand, Beolink 1000, through its elegant and logical keyboard, transmitted all commands. It allowed switching between the CD player and the television, between the radio and the video, between the turntable and the cassette deck.
Battery power (3 x AAA) provided access to the basic and additional function buttons.
Beolink 1000 is designed to operate Beosystem 3500, Beocenter 8500, Beovision LX5500 and LX4500, and Beovision MX5500 and MX3500.
The device measures 40 x 15 x 230 mm and weighed 230 g.
