This beautiful typewriter or vintage writing machine is made by Mercedes Büromaschinen Werke A.G., Zella-Mehlis in Thuringia

This is a splendid vintage typewriter in generally good used condition (not tested).
Nice specimen with black lacquer and very nice vintage keys.

Mercedes-Bureau-maschinen G.m.b.H was founded in 1906 in Berlin by Gustav Mez under the brand name taken over from Daimler-Motorenwerke. Two years later the company moved to Mehlis.
Production of typewriters and calculating machines began in a new factory building near the Zella-Mehlis West railway station.
