A silver miniature of a royal carriage drawn by six horses, in 833 silver, from the Netherlands, dating to 1960–1970, weighing 77 g, with dimensions 13 x 2.5 x 4.5 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Miniature royal carriage with six horses in 833 silver – Netherlands – ca. 1950s–1970s – 77 g
Exceptional Dutch miniature made in 833 silver, depicting an elegant royal carriage drawn by six horses, crafted with extraordinary richness of detail and great sculptural quality.
The composition shows a refined ceremonial scene with an aristocratic-style carriage, coachman, noble figures and a set of six carefully modeled horses. The workmanship stands out especially for the fine work on small details: pierced wheels, harnesses, horse movement and decorative elements typical of historical royal carriages.
Marked with the traditional Dutch sword mark, corresponding to 833 silver, characteristic of Dutch silversmithing. Based on style and typology, the piece can be roughly placed in the second half of the 20th century.
Measurements:
Length: 13 cm
Width: 2.5 cm
Height: 4.5 cm
Weight: 77 g
A particularly attractive piece for collectors of silver miniatures, historical scenes and Dutch silverware.
Good overall condition for its age, with slight signs of use and the passage of time.
