Girardi - Figurine - Maternita - Ceramic

Polychrome ceramic figurine from the Italian manufacture by Giovanni Girardi, probably made around the mid-20th century. The work depicts a woman with child (maternity) in elegant attire, characterized by hand-painted floral decorations and gold details on the skirt. Giovanni Girardi, a Vicenza-born sculptor and modeller, collaborated with the Turin manufacturer "Lenci" before founding his own company. The signature "G. Girardi" is painted under the base.
Good condition with normal signs of age and wear.
Height is 31 cm with a weight of 1.4 kg
