Description from the seller

Small but very fine cordiform biface. Classic biface similar to the European Mousterian, made of flint with a beautiful patina from the surroundings of Gafsa. Typologically located in a late phase of the Acheulean. (Mousterian). The find site is known for the fact that it gave its name to the Capsian, a late Paleolithic industry that occurs across North Africa, although earlier habitation already existed. Situated around an important natural water source.
Dimensions 95 mm x 74 mm
Shiny desert patina and completely intact.
Each sold lot will be provided with a certificate of authenticity.
