Cordiform biface associated with Homo Neanderthalensis
Originating from Kervouster, an important site in Brittany, near the town of Quimper. Here, numerous small handaxes were found that were made from the typical quartzite of the surrounding area. This specimen is relatively large compared to what is normally encountered. Indeed, many handaxes found are smaller than 4 cm.
