Rare Ancient Acetylene Headlight "Les Vestales" - Besnard Headlamps Paris - circa 1905
Description:
Magnificent front headlight for a vintage car, model "Les Vestales" manufactured by the renowned Besnard Headlamps company in Paris. The object is entirely in solid brass, with its original untreated patina.
Technical Details: Dimensions 30x30x20 cm, weight about 4.5 kg.
Condition: Exceptionally complete. Original concave front glass (shows a crack due to age, but overall very stable).
Interior: Original parabolic mirror securely fixed, bearing the "Phares Besnard" brand with the P underlined. Original acetylene feed tube is present.
External markings: "Les Vestales", "Phares Besnard Paris", "N 825", "Unis France 56", "Breveté Déposé".
