Description from the seller

Ancient Luristan / Greek Bronze Spearhead / Large Arrowhead
c. 1st Millennium BC

A fine and authentic ancient bronze spearhead or large arrowhead, attributed to the
Luristan / Greek cultural sphere, dating to the 1st millennium BC.

This elegant weapon displays a long, leaf-shaped blade with a clearly defined central
midrib, tapering symmetrically to a sharp point. The elongated tang remains intact,
indicating the piece was originally mounted on a wooden shaft. The proportions and form
are characteristic of ancient Near Eastern and Eastern Mediterranean projectile weapons,
used in both warfare and hunting.

The surface is covered with a naturally developed green and brown patina, with areas of
mineralisation and light encrustation consistent with long-term burial. No modern
cleaning or restoration has been undertaken; the piece remains in an honest,
archaeologically intact condition.

Weapons of this size and refinement are increasingly scarce and are highly regarded for
their historical presence and craftsmanship.
The spearhead is accompanied by a display case, allowing for secure storage and an
attractive presentation.
