Jewellery box - Wood - Black Forest

Charming little jewelry box from the Black Forest in carved wood dating from the late 19th century.

The lid features an elegant relief decoration depicting two birds finely carved in a naturalistic setting. The openwork sides are adorned with stylized foliage, while the whole rests on four worked feet.

The piece is in good condition, only one side has been re-glued, but it is hardly noticeable.
