Description from the seller
Dear Bidders,
I'm offering here an exceptional set of 3 vintage ceramic vases from the famous Rimini Blu collection by Bitossi Ceramiche, designed by the celebrated Italian artist Aldo Londi and produced in Italy during the 1960s–1970s.
These highly collectible Italian Mid-Century Modern ceramic vases feature the iconic Rimini Blu glaze in vibrant cobalt and turquoise blue tones, combined with richly textured geometric and tribal-inspired relief decorations.
The hand-finished surfaces and crystalline glaze effects make each piece unique and perfectly representative of vintage Italian art pottery from the Space Age and Brutalist design era.
The Rimini Blu series, introduced in 1959, became one of the most recognizable examples of Italian studio pottery and is today highly sought after by collectors of Mid Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern and Danish Modern interiors.
Many Bitossi ceramics were also distributed internationally by Raymor, further increasing their collectible value.
An authentic and decorative set from one of the most iconic names in 1960s–1970s Italian ceramic design.
