AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rare early Agfa Movex 16-12 L 16 mm cine camera, dating from around 1931, fitted with the desirable Agfa Symmetar 1:1.5/20 mm taking lens.

This is a fine early German 16 mm amateur cine camera with a black metal body, leatherette covering, red Agfa diamond logo, folding viewfinder system and spring-driven mechanism.

The most attractive part of this lot is the included green Agfa Isopan F film box / cassette, which gives the set a very strong period appearance. This makes the camera especially interesting as a collector’s item, display piece or addition to an early Agfa / cine camera collection.

The Agfa Symmetar 1:1.5/20 mm taking lens is intact and shows no visible cracks or chips. The visible damage is limited to the finder/front glass elements, not to the taking lens.

Condition: used vintage condition with visible age-related wear. The body covering shows wear, scratches and small losses around the edges. The finder/front glass elements show cracks/damage, as clearly shown in the photos. The camera has not been film-tested and mechanical operation is not guaranteed.

Offered as a historical collector’s item.

Included:
Agfa Movex 16-12 L camera, rear cover and green Agfa Isopan F film box/cassette as shown in the photos.
