Description from the seller
GENERAL:
The Volkswagen T3 Westfalia Camper is an iconic classic among campers. This 1984 example is equipped with the 4-cylinder WBX (water-cooled flat-four) engine and a manual transmission.
The camper has remained within one family since new and comes with a Carfax report and extensive documentation. A particularly well-documented and honest example.
BODYWORK & PAINT:
The body is largely original and rust-free. The underside is clean and dry, indicating a well-preserved vehicle. The paint has been updated in a few places over the years, but overall presents itself neatly.
TECHNICAL:
This camper was imported from the United States (Arizona/Michigan) and was given a Dutch license plate a few years ago.
Technically, a lot has been renewed, including the battery, tires and exhaust system. The engine runs well, the gearbox shifts as it should and the camper drives nicely.
The kitchen facilities operate as they should: the fridge and the cooking stove work on gas and there is a 220V connection available.
INTERIOR:
The interior is original and in a neat and well-kept condition. The tent fabric has recently been renewed.
In addition, the camper is equipped with a new awning, a bicycle rack and various camping accessories, all of which are included.
DOCUMENTS:
The camper has a Dutch license plate and comes with a recent APK report. In addition, there is a lot of historical documentation available, including a Carfax report.
VIEWING & PICKUP:
The car can be viewed and possibly picked up in Veen. Transport across Europe can be arranged by arrangement. Transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This camper has a special history: about 5 years ago it undertook a nearly 3,000-mile trip across the United States (from Michigan to Arizona). Recently the camper has also been used for trips in Austria and France.
All import duties and VAT have been paid.
Because of its age (older than 1996) no COC document is required for registration within Europe.
This is a camper over 40 years old, which means there may always be small improvement points or signs of use. Viewings are therefore recommended to get a good picture of the condition of the vehicle.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
