Twisted Arm Ring, Viking Age
Bronze arm ring with twisted shaft and slightly thickened, overlapping ends. The spiral twist is executed evenly and gives the piece a clear, sculptural structure. Surface with age-related patina.
Such twisted arm rings are among the classic forms of jewelry of the Viking Age. They served not only as personal adornment but also as portable wealth.
