Large blue-and-white porcelain plate “Dragon Crossing the Wall” – Yongzheng period (1723–1735), Qing Dynasty

Elegant large Chinese porcelain plate decorated in blue underglaze with an imperial dragon motif among stylized clouds and sacred flames. The dragon is depicted in dynamic motion with the characteristic “guoqiang long” (dragon crossing the wall) motif, a style highly appreciated in Qing production of the Yongzheng period.

The painting features a refined calligraphic stroke, with deep, shaded blues on a white, slightly ivory background. Broad, harmonious shape, with a strong decorative and collecting appeal.

Conditions:
Good overall condition for its age. Some small areas of glaze loss / superficial glaze flaking on the front decorative side (“kiln flakes” / glaze wear). No cracks, no hairline fractures, no restorations.

Elegante grande piatto in porcellana cinese decorato in blu sottocoperta con motivo di drago imperiale tra nuvole stilizzate e fiamme sacre. Il drago è raffigurato in movimento dinamico con il tipico motivo “guoqiang long” (drago che attraversa la parete), uno stile molto apprezzato nella produzione Qing del periodo Yongzheng.

La pittura presenta un raffinato tratto calligrafico, con tonalità di blu intense e sfumate su fondo bianco leggermente avoriato. Forma ampia e armoniosa, di forte impatto decorativo e collezionistico.

Condizioni:
Buone condizioni generali per l’età. Presenti alcuni piccoli punti di perdita di smalto / sfaldature superficiali sul lato decorato frontale (“kiln flakes” / usure dello smalto). Nessuna crepa, nessuna linea di rottura (“hairline”), nessun restauro.
