Description from the seller
A0000004940
The watch is in a state of preservation appropriate to its age, showing an authentic and highly attractive aesthetic typical of Roskopf pieces from the early 20th century. The case maintains a good overall presence, with surface wear, micro-scratches and a slight loss of luster derived from use and the passage of time, yet still maintaining an elegant and balanced appearance. The back features the personalized engraving “D. Aguado”, a historical detail that adds character and personality to the piece.
The original enamel dial remains highly legible, with black Roman numerals clearly defined and visible signatures “Roskopf Patent” and “Moisés Díez – Palencia”. Small marks, aging spots and fine capillary cracks typical of old enamel are evident, compatible with watches of this era and very common in original unrestored pieces. The blued hands retain their shape and aesthetic harmony.
What stands out especially is the elegant calligraphic engraving “D. Aguado”, executed with great quality and depth, lending historical personality and a unique character to the watch. The central seal “Roskopf Patent” remains clearly visible and well defined, reinforcing the aesthetic authenticity of the piece.
The mechanical movement is visually complete, preserving Roskopf engravings and seals visible on the movement. The interior shows natural patina and homogeneous aging typical of a historical piece. The watch also includes an antique metal chain, with wear and superficial oxidation consistent with its age.
Overall, this is a historical piece with a very authentic aesthetic, ideal for collection, display or enthusiasts of old Swiss watchmaking and Roskopf watches with Spanish distribution.
Conservation recommendations: it is advised to avoid humidity and sudden temperature changes, keep the watch in a dry place protected from dust, wind the crown gently and perform periodic inspections by a specialized watchmaker to properly preserve the mechanism and ensure its long-term operation.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper conservation. Happy bidding!
