Description from the seller
Seiko "Turtle" 6309-7049.
This is one of the dive watches most loved by collectors, produced between 1976 and 1988. The specific reference -7049 indicates it was originally destined for the North American market (while the -7040 was for the rest of the world), but the two models are technically identical.
Why it's special: The "Cushion" case: The iconic cushion shape (from which the name Turtle comes) is not just aesthetic, but served to protect the crown, placed at 4 o'clock so as not to hinder wrist movement.
Movement 6309: A 17-jewel automatic caliber "tireless." It is known for its extreme longevity, even though after decades it requires a service to maintain precision.
Dial detail: Above the 6 o'clock index, you can notice the small Suwa Seikosha symbol (a stylized swirl), which certifies production in one of Seiko's historic factories in Japan.
Watch fully functional
Bracelet not original
The crystal is aftermarket but I also ship the original one with some signs of time.
