Description from the seller

NORTHERN NETHERLANDS – REPUBLIC 1581–1795
West-Friesland, Enkhuizen
1 guilder 1764

Mintmaster: Pieter Buyskes
Mintmark: haringbuis

Guilder struck at Enkhuizen in 1764. In this year the production of guilders had already been significantly reduced, and after 1765 mintmaster Pieter Buyskes, with the exception of a very limited issue in 1778, did not strike any more guilders. As a result, specimens from 1764 are clearly less common than those from 1760, 1762, and 1763.

A sharp specimen with an attractive appearance and fine detailing. Carefully preserved and representative of this less common West Frisian issue.

Catalogue: Delmonte 1180 Verkade 70.1 HNPM.48 CNM 2.46.57 Pannekeet 113

Will be sent by registered mail and adequately insured.
