A large antique Chinese celadon porcelain tripod censer / incense burner.
Of rounded form, raised on three moulded feet decorated with beast-mask motifs, and covered in a pale green celadon glaze. The body is finely decorated with geometric lattice decoration. The piece has a strong archaistic form and an attractive soft celadon glaze tone.
Dating to Ming Dynasty, 14th/ 15th Century.

The censer is accompanied by a well carved wooden cover and wooden stand, both decorative and well fitted.

Overall height including cover and stand: 28.5 cm
Censer diameter: 33.7 cm

Condition
Good antique condition overall. There is a repaired small chip to the top rim, a few glaze lines to the body, and firing lines to the feet. There are also minor age-related surface wear, small firing imperfections, dirt and glaze crazing consistent with age. The wooden cover is in very good condition, with minor age-related wear. The wooden stand has general wear and surface marks. Please refer to the photos for details.
