Giusti '50', from Emilia Romagna, Italy, offers one 100 ml bottle of Aceto Balsamico di Modena Invecchiato 50 anni, new and aged over 50 years by Acetaia Giusti.
Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 1 bottle of 100 ml of 50-year-aged Balsamic Condiment, produced by Acetaia Giusti, Emilia Romagna - Italy.
The most exclusive collection of the house, produced each year in extremely limited quantities and drawn from some precious batteries of production casks dating back to 1700. One of these casks, coded as A3, was brought by Giusti to the National Exhibition in Florence in 1861 where a 90-year-old elixir drawn from it won a gold medal, a success that was repeated later in Paris at the 1889 Exposition.
Iconically the case is composed of the 5 woods that make up the typical battery of small casks; the front label is engraved in 24-carat gold, while the back label is produced with the ancient movable-type printing technique, using a Modenese lead type from the Nineteenth Century.
Extracted annually in limited quantities, Giusti 50 is a special reserve aged over 50 years in the oldest battery of casks of the house. Characterized by a wide aromatic bouquet and the unmistakable sweet-sour taste, it presents intense woody notes and ripe fruit. Each flask is numbered and hand-finished, housed in a case with a small blown-glass pipette. A unique product, enhanced by the 24-carat gold label and printed with movable type, using a Modenese font from the Nineteenth Century.
Ingredients: grape must.
Aging: in ancient oak casks dating to the 1700s.
Pairings: risotto, fresh pasta, filled pasta, meats, aged cheeses and desserts.
