Description from the seller
I am offering for auction a superb 19th century oil on canvas titled The Cavalier’s Pets, after the original by Edwin Landseer, 1802-1873. Painted by listed American artist Griffiths Morgan, born 1811. Signed and dated 1894 bottom left.
The painting measures 45 x 32 cm. The frame is 62 x 49 cm.
Condition of the painting is good. Please view all photos for accurate condition. Frame is very worn with missing pieces. Ready to hang as it is.
Please note. Due to the fragile nature of old frames and glass, our shippers do not provide insurance for any damage caused during transit. We go to great lengths to ensure each painting is packed and protected to a very high standard but sadly cannot compensate or refund for any damage occurring to frames or glass during transit. Therefore the frame and any glass is a gift to you with zero value and you are bidding on the artwork only.
Due to Brexit, there are delays at EU customs borders though the situation is improving. Please do not blame me for delays or any customs duty payable. I really appreciate your understanding and patience. Steve.
