An elegant and authentic bentwood stool attributed to the renowned Thonet manufacture, internationally recognized for pioneering the steam-bent wood technique that transformed European furniture design.
This piece features all the classic characteristics of early Thonet production: a lightweight yet sturdy structure, graceful curved lines, circular seat, and the iconic bentwood support ring connecting the legs. The underside retains the original burned-in “THONET” stamp, confirming its authenticity and historical origin.
Produced between the late 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century, this stool was originally intended for Viennese cafés, bistros, tea rooms, and elegant bourgeois interiors.
