Large Scheurich Fat Lava Vase / Jug – 40 cm – West Germany – 1960s–1970s
Large and impressive “Fat Lava” vase by Scheurich Keramik, West Germany, dating from the 1960s–1970s.
This striking jug-shaped vase features a classic volcanic glaze with vibrant orange-red tones combined with dark, textured lava bands. The surface shows a rich and dynamic pattern typical of mid-century German studio ceramics.
The original Scheurich label is still present, confirming authenticity, model 408 - 40.
Due to its large size (40 cm), this piece is particularly decorative and highly sought after by collectors of West German pottery.
