Description from the seller
The Nikkormat FT2 is a historic mechanical SLR produced by Nikon in the 1970s, designed as a more affordable alternative to the professional Nikon F while maintaining much of the build quality and reliability of the brand. Robust, precise and completely manual, the FT2 is still considered today one of the most solid and reliable analog SLRs ever made.
The camera body is built almost entirely of metal and conveys a sense of great sturdiness and mechanical quality. It uses 35 mm film and is equipped with an integrated TTL light meter, which helps the photographer set the exposure correctly while keeping a fully manual approach to the shot. Shutter speeds, aperture and focusing must be adjusted directly by the photographer, offering an authentic and technical experience highly appreciated by lovers of analog photography.
The Nikkormat FT2 uses the Nikon F mount, compatible with many vintage Nikkor lenses, a feature that makes it extremely versatile even today. It is particularly loved for its mechanical reliability, ease of use and the image quality it can produce together with the Nikon optics of the era.
